Part of what has made soccer in Yucaipa such a success are those soccer parents, teenagers, and "aficionados of the game" who have stepped forward offering their valuable time. YVYSO is grateful for those who donate their time in return for smiles, laughs, learning, and fun.

Step by Step Coaching Requirements

1
ADMIN FORM
Download and fill out the Administrator form which can be found at the link below. This must be completed by coaches, assistant coaches and team parents. Once complete, please email to the registrar@yucaipasoccer.org and directorofcoaches@yucaipasoccer.org. This must be filled out each and every season.

LIVE SCAN
Risk Management must be completed by coaches, assistant coaches and team parents. This is done by completing a LiveScan at the UPS store located on 4th St. and Yucaipa Blvd in the Stater Brothers shopping center. Tell them you need to get a Live Scan for Cal South/Yucaipa Valley Youth Soccer and they will provide you with the form to fill out and will take your fingerprints. The cost is $30 and you will be reimbursed from the league if you submit the form to the Director of Coaches, Treasurer, or Registrar. The LiveScan requirement is NOT seasonal. Once you do it, it's valid for lifetime.

COACHING LICENSE
Below is a direct link to the Cal South checklist. All steps must be completed by the Head Coach and any Assistant Coach prior to the start of the season. You will be required to create a Cal South and a US Soccer profile. The courses will take about 4 hours online and will cost $25. The Director of Coaches can provide a code for all NEW license applicants. This code is a 100% discount code for the cost of the online course. We recommend you select and complete the 11 v 11 online course as that is good for all age groups. There are four total required modules to complete: Intro to Grassroots, Safesport (annually renewed), Intro to Safe and Healthy Playing and the actual license course.

COMPLETION
Once your coaching license and all necessary requirements are completed, email the Director of Coaches and inform them of the completion. Additionally, let them know which age group, practice day, and time slots you would like to coach. Also, provide the name of your Assistant Coach (if you are a Head Coach) or Head Coach (if you are an Assistant Coach). Lastly, provide the names of up to three property players you would like on your team. Head Coach and Assistant Coach children will count as property players.
